SP Salsa Rueda

This week we will continue with our partner dance workshop one-on-one. We'll show you what to do and not to do in partner dancing to help you build confidence on how to dance outside a rueda circle. We will still teach new rueda moves too!  Level 1 will learn Adios & Adios con la Hermana, while level 2 will learn another new setenta - Setenta y Uno.

For next week (Weds 27 Aug) we will try something new! We'll show you how to use some of the moves you already know to partner dance one-on-one (and not part of a rueda circle!) It's a great way to build confidence in your dance ability, have fun when no one is calling a rueda, and get to know your fellow dancers.  Don't worry!  This is still a rueda class and that's what we will focus on.  But we'd like to add this extra one-on-one dancing occasionally too. In addition to the one-on-one workshop next week, we will also teach new rueda moves too.  Level 1 will learn Enchufe & Enchufe doble, while level 2 will learn a new setenta move - Setenta corona.

This week's website update is the 2nd week with our new format  We're putting up videos for the new moves a week ahead of time. This way you can watch the video & practice before class! In this week's class, level 1 will do Vacílala and Vacílala con Mano, while level 2 will learn two new moves that are variations on what we learned last time: A Bayamo. The 2 new moves are Bayamo Por Abajo and Bayamo Por Matanzas. Both levels will review all moves from previous weeks as always. Looking forward to dancing with you all Weds 20 Aug!

This week we returned to our normal Weds classes after last week's dance party (5th Weds is always a dance party with no lessons.) In level 2 we learned four new moves - Dame Loca, Camina la Rueda, Tumba Francesa, and Enchufe y Casate. In level 1 we learned Enchufe and Enchufe Doble. Both levels reviewed all moves from previous weeks as always.
